Default lag blocks :(

well, when i was playing GW the other day, everything was fine, didn't do anything but play, then i restarted my cpu, and now when i play GW, ever like 1-2 minutes a lag block happens, everything on my screen freezes, youtube music, itunes, GW, anything im doing completely freezes for about 20-30 seconds, i scanned for viruses, etc, but i did recently uninstall age of conan, could that be it, please all the help i can get would be wonderful, monking in pvp is no fun when you lag block constantly and get your team killed

Try a defragmentation.

C -> run (or Windows Key + r if you're on vista) -> Defrag.exe

Uninstalling and installing large files (AoC is what, 20GB?) will cause your HDD to become fragmented, and if the Gw.dat becomes hella fragmented it starts screwing up.

I'd do a general drive defrag like was already suggested. If that fails to cure your lag check out Inde's post here. I had some bad lag a while back and all this helped. Just make sure that you have enough free space on your hard drive or you won't be able to defrag at all.

Run CCleaner slim too, might recover another GB or two.

Sounds more like fragmentation than lag. If your CPU is working real hard at the time you are experiencing your problem, then likely it isn't the ping that makes your monk twiddle his thumbs.
